Mortise Mount Butt Hinges

The leaves of our Mortise Mount hinges are both swaged to allow the hinge to fit into two cut outs (known as mortises) so that the hinge can mount flush with the door & frame.
Or more simply the swaged leaves can be surface mounted to help reduce the clearance between the door and the frame. These Mortise Mount hinges are supplied with a pre-drilled & countersunk, standard hole patterns but can also be supplied with a custom hole pattern or hole size of your choosing. Each size is readily available in either plain steel, zinc plated steel, and either with or without a retained pin.
