Gas Springs and Dampers
Whether you want to lift, lower, or dampen, Guden Gas Springs and Dampers will provide the controlled motion you need. Guden Gas Springs are excellent for assisting in lifting lids, covers, doors and hatches, keeping them open, and reducing the speed at which they close.

Depending on your application requirements, Guden stocks many sizes and forces, along with end fittings and brackets. And to address economic, aesthetic and corrosion considerations, we offer both chrome plated rod and black nitrated rod gas springs. We also have all-stainless gas springs for sterile or highly corrosive environments like medical, food service and marine applications.

For other unique applications, Guden offers SafeLock and FrictionStop Gas Springs. Safe lock Gas Springs lock in the open position, preventing accidental closures, and FrictionStop Gas Springs allow you to set the enclosure opening to a desired amount.

Dampers slow down motion, preventing doors from slamming shut or swinging widely open. Guden has one of the largest offering of stock damper sizes around, so you're sure to find the size and strength that you need. Compression and extension dampers are both available.
