At a glance, these two components seem very similar. Both rely on integrated, spring-loaded retractable pins to engage and disengage a panel. However, they serve completely opposite mechanical functions in an assembly.

Spring Latches: Designed for Secure Door Locking

Our Unhinges utilize dual spring-loaded pins controlled by knurled knobs. Pulling or squeezing the knobs retracts the pins from the outer knuckles, instantly releasing the hinge leaves. 

This allows an operator to entirely remove a door or access panel from the chassis in seconds without utilizing any tools.

When the door is replaced, the pins snap back into the knuckles to restore a stable, smooth-pivoting hinge connection with minimal side play or end play.
