Guden Goes Green: Paperless System Saves Trees and Time

November 14, 2011

Ronkonkoma, NY, November 14, 2011–H. A. Guden Co., Inc. is announcing the implementation of a paperless administrative system for keeping records electronically. The new system will allow employees to easily access records and will cut down on the need for hard copy documents.

All drawings, forms, quotes, and associated paperwork are now stored electronically, and can be displayed on any terminal linked in the system. Inbound faxes can be received through email and displayed on computer screens instead of being automatically printed. The customer service department is now able to pull up customer information in seconds instead of searching paper files for historical data. Virtual servers have been implemented for reducing power consumption as well.

Guden has also switched from fuel oil to natural gas in an effort to reduce harmful pollutants, and all paper and corrugated material is recycled appropriately. Even employees are joining in the “green” movement by reducing unnecessary usage of materials during work and business travel. You can learn more about Guden going “green”.

“It’s just our small part in helping keep the planet healthy for the next generation, and all those small parts can add up to one big impact for our environment,” says chairman and president Al Guden.
