Guden Launches Corrosion Resistant Plastic Hinges

RONKONKOMA, NY -Guden now offers a full line of lightweight plastic hinges, available in four open widths and three attractive colors. Plastic hinges are strong, durable and provide a low cost alternative to stainless steel when used in corrosive or sterile environments. They are commonly installed in aircraft, marine, sterile, foodservice, medical, laboratory and non-conductive applications.

Guden's plastic hinges are made of a patented strong polyolefin polymer, available in 1.00", 1.50", 2.0" and 3.00" open widths and 0.10" leaf thickness. They are offered in black, white and metallic gray in 100 foot rolls, which may be cut to any length. Available with or without holes, plastic hinges are mounted with screws, staples, nails or rivets. The holes may be pre-punched by Guden or punched by the customer.

Plastic hinges have been bench tested for over 1 million flexes and may be used anywhere a lightweight, non-corrosive hinge is required. Excellent for harsh environments, they will operate in a temperature range of 0°F to 200°F, and withstand the UV rays of direct sunlight.
