Guden Adds Dampers to
Gas Spring Line

H.A. Guden Co., Inc., an ISO9002 registered company, has announced the addition of a new line of dampers to compliment their GGSX Gas Spring products.

Dampers are used primarily where a heavy load or door must be lowered or swung in a controlled motion at a constant speed. For example, Guden dampers prevent a door from slamming shut or swinging wildly open.

Guden dampers are made in two types to control speed in either compressive or extensive direction, depending on the mounting position.

Guden dampers, while similar in appearance to gas springs, are force-absorbing devices instead of force-supplying devices. Dampers contain a piston with a small orifice that must pass through hydraulic oil, thus controlling speed. Dampers are available in rod/tube sizes .24 x .59 inches and .32 x .84 inches, with strokes from 2" to 6", extended lengths from 7.9" to 17" and a maximum load capacities from 50 lb. to 100 lb. load per damper.

Custom dampers are available in lengths up to 26" with a stroke up to 8". All dampers are also available on special order double damped in both compression and extension.
